58 Fairfax Co. 55901 License Plate Topper: I will assume that this is a county in New Jersey as it came with a NJ plate lot. Good condition. There is a nail hole between the X and the C. Minor surface rust. The following is information from a helpful email: "Just for the record, the Fairfax County plate topper (known to the diehards as a "strip") you show in your collectible license plates page is Fairfax County, Virginia. Don't know how come it got into a box of NJ plates. I have #23537 1958 Fairfax strip in my collection." Another helpful email states: "Just for the record, the person who wrote you and told you that Fairfax County strip comes from Virginia is probably right. Although I know [some] Virginia cities used to issue such stips, I don't know enough about them to be sure it's from VA. However, I know Jersey very well and can tell you there is no Fairfax County in the Garden State." SOLD
