Self-Portrait, 1990

Incised acrylic paint on masonite

Paintings are loveable, in part, because they make time stand still. They engender one sparkling moment.
All the presented paintings are oils on gessoed panels, except where noted. They are created for longevity. Most are heavily textured with knives, stylus, syringes, etc. Pigments used in the pallette are stable.
The content depicts a dreamy and sometimes a deceptively childlike world. There is more than meets the rods & cones. Your intuition is invited to pluck at the sleeve of your attention.
Eye sight has limitations and perception can be a mirage. We have a feeling way of seeing, a sixth sense, and this can be nurtured and strengthened with time.
